There are plenty of opportunities for exploring the area, practicing all sorts of sports, or be going out to the boat harbur by the river for sailing or fishing. There are many golf courses in the area, the closest one being La Marquesa Golf in Rojales just a 10 minutes drive away. In addition, the environment of the sun, the sea and salt lakes in the area is one of the most healthy in the world to live in, along with the good Mediterranean diet. 

Guardamar town lies between the ancient Castell de Guardamar and the beach, just southof the outlet of the Segura River in the Mediterranean and La Pinata (Parc Alfons XIII) the forest on the sand dunes, where there also are 1000 year old ruins. The town is a small unique Spanish coastal village, with lots of life and locals year round. Here is a real main street with lots of shops, cafes and restarants is everywhere, and for every taste and price level. Here are green, quiet and peaceful surroundings. There is friendly people of all ages, as well as a nice little beach promenade with lot's of activity. In the town there is both a local police station and Guarda Civil, so you will see the police often and feel very safe here! In addition, here are all kind of facilities you may need such as doctors, pharmacies, veterinarians, schools, high schools, health and fitness centers. And here is everything within just 15 minutes of walking distance. Experience the annual festivals for Christmas, Easter and Moros & Christianos at the end of July, which is one of the largest and most beautiful festivals in the local area.

Since we are located on the continent there are good transport options by car, it is just 30 minutes drive south of Alicante International Airport, as well as only 55 minutes drive to the new International Airport at Murcia. There are also high-speed trains from Alicante to Madrid and Barcelona via Valencia.
